By creating an account or using AL1 English, you agree to these Terms of Use. If the learner is a minor, a parent or guardian should review these terms and supervise use as appropriate.
Educational Service
AL1 English provides PSLE English practice, progress tracking, review support, study recommendations and AI Tutor explanations for educational use. The service supports learning but does not guarantee any examination score, school result or academic outcome.
Accounts
Users must provide accurate information, keep login details secure and notify us of suspected unauthorised use. One identity may support multiple login methods, including phone, Google and future Apple login. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
Acceptable Use
You may use AL1 English for personal, non-commercial learning. You must not misuse the service, attempt to bypass security controls, interfere with other users, scrape content, reverse engineer protected features, or use the app for unlawful or harmful purposes.
Learning Content and Intellectual Property
Questions, explanations, designs, software and other app materials belong to AL1 English or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. They may not be copied, redistributed, sold or used to create a competing product without written permission.
AI-Assisted Explanations
AI-assisted educational feedback is designed to help learners understand concepts. Although quality checks are applied, automated explanations may occasionally be incomplete or unsuitable. Learners should consult a teacher or contact support when clarification is needed.
Subscriptions and Billing
During Beta, Premium features may be provided without charge and purchases may be disabled. When paid subscriptions are enabled, available plans, prices, trial terms and billing periods will be shown before purchase. Purchases renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple's App Store rules. Payment, renewal, cancellation and eligible refund requests are handled through Apple. Prices are not hardcoded and may vary by region.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the service reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, update or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary, while seeking to protect users' learning records and purchased access.
Account Suspension and Deletion
We may restrict accounts involved in serious misuse or security threats. Users can delete their account from Profile > Delete Account. Active App Store subscriptions must also be managed through Apple; deleting an AL1 English account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
Disclaimer and Liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, AL1 English is not responsible for indirect losses arising from use or unavailability of the service.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute should first be raised with us so that we can try to resolve it fairly.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
